How eNest Egg Works
A lifetime in a class time:
Unlike commonplace day trading simulations, eNest Egg doesn’t limit players’ experience to current market conditions. Over the course of the simulation, eNest Egg allows students to experience 725 years of investing experience, in just a matter of hours.
Imagine how valuable that depth of experience will be for your students. They will know what it’s like to live through a wide variety of bull and bear markets, through crashes, bubbles, and depressions. They will understand what happens during steep recessions, during eras of runaway inflation, and during periods of prosperity. Throughout all of these experiences, your students will be learning to apply the lessons that you have taught them. They will develop and refine the skills necessary to survive and prosper in any market condition.
While eNest Egg focuses on intelligent asset allocation strategies, the financial lessons learned by players are not limited to building and managing a portfolio. They will also learn, from direct experience, what it is like to have a debilitating accident, but lack disability insurance. Players learn the real, long term, costs of carrying high interest credit card debt. They experience the painful reality of having an adjustable rate mortgage, during times when interest rates keep go up, and up. Combined, these lessons teach players the wisdom of intelligent and comprehensive financial planning.

How to Begin a New Simulation:
To get started, users need simply to sign in, and then open the first unit. This brief video will introduce you to that simple process, and also introduce eNest Egg’s student facing scoring and ranking section. |
Training Lessons:
eNest Egg has been designed to require very little of your valuable class time. To ensure that students are able to work independently, the software introduces itself to the students by challenging them with a series of brief training missions. Each of these training missions must be completed successfully, before the student is able to move on to the full program. |
Investing Cash Flow:
In eNest Egg, students take on the role of a professional financial planner. Each simulation begins by introducing them to a new client family to assist. It is the student’s job to ensure that their clients achieve their financial goals.Clients will each have their own unique combination of debts, expenses, assets, and incoming cash flow. This video will introduce you to eNest Egg’s sliders, and how these sliders are used, in this case, to invest a client’s cash flow. |
